Upper Hanover Township is extending the Snow/Winter Emergency currently in effect through 24 hours after the storm has passed and snow has ceased falling. As of 12:00 AM Sunday, February 22, 2026, ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM TOWNSHIP ROADWAYS AND PARKED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. The Township Office will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. For emergency response Dial 911.
The latest update from Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center is as follows: Impacts: Blizzard conditions will lead to life-threatening or impossible travel conditions. Snowfall rates of 2" or greater are possible. Widespread closures and impacts to infrastructure are likely. Blowing and drifting snow will result in visibilities of ¼ mile or less. Depending on location within the county snow totals are anywhere from 12-"24". Extensive, crippling impacts are possible to travel and infrastructure and may linger past Monday. Snow covered roads and gusty winds will yield to reduced visibility, which will cause life-threatening travel.
