PennDOT to Repair and Resurface over Three Miles of North Wales Road in
Montgomery County

Construction is scheduled to start Monday, June 13, to repair and resurface
over three miles of North Wales Road between Morris Road and Route 63
(Welsh
Road) in North Wales Borough and Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
The resurfacing of North Wales Road will seal the pavement to prevent water
from penetrating beneath the surface and causing damage to the road base,
and
provide motorists with a smooth riding surface.
The contractor will work weeknights from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM over the next
thee
weeks to mill off the deteriorated riding surface and resurface the
highway.
The resurfacing of North Wales Road is expected to be completed in early
July.
Allan Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor
on
the $6,395,555 project that with resurface 19 miles of state highway in
Montgomery County. The work is financed with 100 percent state funds. All
work
on the project is scheduled to finish in late July 2016.
