Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia for bridge inspections,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
Weather permitting, the work schedule is:
• On Monday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the two right lanes will be
closed on Interstate 95 south between Interstate 676 and Columbus
Boulevard.
The two left lanes will be closed from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM;
• On Monday, June 27, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
the
Market Street ramp to I-95 south;
• On Monday, June 27, and Tuesday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
right
lane will be closed on I-95 north between Broad Street (Route 611) and the
Walt
Whitman Bridge;
• On Tuesday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed on
I-95 north between Broad Street (Route 611) and I-76;
• On Tuesday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the two right lane will be
closed on I-95 north from Columbus Boulevard to I-676. The two left lanes
will
be closed from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM;
• On Tuesday, June 28, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
the
Columbus Boulevard ramp to I-95 south
• On Wednesday, June 29, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the left lane will be
closed
on I-76 east between Girard Avenue and Spring Garden Street. The westbound
left
lane will be closed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• On Thursday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on eastbound George C. Platt Memorial Bridge (Route 291) between Bartram
Avenue
and 26th Street in Philadelphia.
• On Friday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 5, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the
right
lane will be closed on Gray Ferry Avenue between Paschall Avenue and 34th
Street.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

visiting

access
