Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia and Bucks County for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia region next week for
bridge
inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Sunday, June 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
U.S. 1
north (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Scotts Lane and Ridge Avenue in
Philadelphia;
• On Sunday, June 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
U.S. 1
north (Roosevelt Boulevard) between 15th Street and Old York Road in
Philadelphia;
• On Monday, June 6, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, the right lane will be closed
on
Interstate 76 east between Interstate 676 and South Street in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, June 7, from 1:00 AM to 5 AM, the right lane will be closed
on
I-76 west between South Street and I-676 in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, June 7, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, the left lane will be closed
on
Interstate 76 east between Interstate 676 and South Street in Philadelphia;
• On Wednesday, June 8, from 1:00 AM to 5 AM, the left lane will be closed
on
I-76 west between South Street and I-676 in Philadelphia;
• On Thursday, June 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed on
Interstate 95 south at U.S. 1 in Middletown Township, Bucks County:
• On Friday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on
the eastbound George C. Platt Memorial Bridge (Route 291) between Bartram
Avenue and 26th Street in Philadelphia;
• On Saturday, June 11, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on the eastbound George C. Platt Memorial Bridge (Route 291) between
Bartram
Avenue and 26th Street in Philadelphia;
• On Monday, June 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
U.S.
1 south (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Scotts Lane and Ridge Avenue in
Philadelphia;
• On Monday, June 12, , from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on

U.S. 1 north (Roosevelt Boulevard) between 15th Street and Old York Road in

Philadelphia;

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.
