PennDOT to Restrict U.S. 1 South (Roosevelt Extension) for Concrete Repairs
in Philadelphia

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
two right lanes will be closed on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Extension)
between Fox Street and Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia on Thursday, October 6,
and
Friday, October 7, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for
concrete
repair.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area
as
back-ups may occur.

The work will be performed by PennDOT Philadelphia County maintenance
employees.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
