U.S. 202 South Lane, Ramp Restrictions Next Week for Construction in
Chester County

6/7/2018-KING OF PRUSSIA

Southbound U.S. 202 and the ramp to U.S. 30/Exton Bypass will be reduced
from
two lanes to one at night next week for concrete pavement repairs in East
Whiteland and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, June 12, through Thursday, June 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the right through lane on southbound U.S. 202 will be
closed
at the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass Interchange along with the left lane of the
two-lane ramp to U.S. 30/Exton Bypass; and

• From 8:00 PM Friday, June 15, through 5:00 AM Monday, June 18, the right
through lane on southbound U.S. 202 will be closed at the U.S. 30/Exton
Bypass
Interchange along with the left lane of the two-lane ramp to U.S. 30/Exton
Bypass.

These restrictions will allow the contractor to remove and replace sections
of
deteriorated concrete pavement.

Motorists are advised that backups may occur at times approaching the work
zone. All schedule activities are weather permitting.

The work is part of PennDOT's $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the
northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the U.S.
30/Exton
Bypass ramp, and replace the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from
U.S.
202 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass. The entire project is expected to be
completed in
fall 2019.

Allan A Myers, Inc. of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor
on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
