I-95 South Reduced to Two Lanes Thursday Night from Girard to I-676 for Bridge Repair in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA - Southbound Interstate 95 will be reduced from four lanes-to-two from 8:00 PM Thursday, February 7, until 5:00 AM Friday, February 8, between the Girard Avenue and Interstate 676 interchanges in Philadelphia, for repair of an expansion dam on the bridge over Frankford Avenue, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

If repairs are not completed during Thursday night's operation, two southbound lanes will be closed again from 8:00 PM Friday, February 8, to 5:00 AM Saturday, February 9.

Drivers are advised that significant backups will occur and to avoid travel through the work area or use an alternate route. The scheduled operation is weather dependent.
