U.S. 422, I-476, U.S. 1 Restricted Next Week for ITS Camera Maintenance in the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 422, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 in the Philadelphia Region next week for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) camera maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Wednesday, February 20, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass and Route 23 Bridgeport/Valley Forge Interchange in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County;
  
• Wednesday, February 20, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-476 between the MacDade Boulevard Interchange and Bullens Lane overpass in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
  
• Thursday, February 21, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between the Neshaminy and Business U.S. 1/Penndel interchanges in Bensalem and Middletown townships, Bucks County; and
  
• Thursday, February 21, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between 9th Street and the Route 611 (Broad Street) overpass in Philadelphia.
  

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

This work is part of a $3,808,056 project to maintain, repair and upgrade ITS systems across the five-county Philadelphia region. 

Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, Pa. is the general contractor on the project which is financed with 100 percent state dollars.
