PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 532 (Buck Road) between Heron Road and Twist Drive in Northampton Township.

Chester County

  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Main Avenue and Woodside Avenue in Easttown Township;
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) near Dogwood Dell Drive in West Brandywine Township;
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Strode Avenue) near Newlinville Road in Valley and East Fallowfield townships;
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, February 7, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at Commerce Drive in West Whiteland Township; and
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Walnut Road and School House Road in East Marlborough Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Providence Road) between Medbury Road and Chester Road in Nether Providence Township.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Swede Road and Township Line Road in Whitpain Township;
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Collegeville Road) at Perkiomen Boulevard in Upper Providence Township;
  • Monday, January 27, through Friday, January 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Rahns Road) between Bridge Road and Betcher Road in Perkiomen Township; and
  • Monday, January 27, through mid-March, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Pleasantview Road between High Street and Buchert Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
