Lane Restrictions Scheduled in Philadelphia Region for Overhead Sign
Structure Inspections

Lane Restrictions are scheduled in the Philadelphia region next week for as

series of overhead sign structure inspections, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

Weather permitting, the overhead sign inspection schedule is:

• On Monday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane
will
be closed on the Instate 95 north ramp to the Philadelphia International
Airport in Philadelphia;
• On Monday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 10 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right
lane
will be closed on the Instate 95 south ramp to the Philadelphia
International
Airport in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
right
lane will be closed on U.S. 422 west between U.S. 202 and Route 363
(Trooper
Road) in Upper Merion and West Norriton townships, Montgomery County;
• On Wednesday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
the
U.S. 202 south ramp to U.S. 30 in East Whiteland Township, Chester County;
• On Thursday, May 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on the Route 309 north ramp to the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Dublin
Township, Montgomery County;
• On Thursday, May 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on the Pennsylvania Turnpike ramp to Route 309 north in Upper Dublin
Township,
Montgomery County;
• On Friday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be closed
on
U.S. 1 south (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Horning Road and Route 63
(Woodhaven
Road) in Philadelphia; and
• On Friday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be closed
on
Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) west between Thornton Road and U.S. 1 in
Philadelphia.

The overhead sign structure inspections are part of PennDOT's program to
inspect signs structures at least once every two years. The inspections
ensure
the safety and overall condition of the structures.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
