Nighttime Lane Closures on I-76 and Market Street in Montgomery County and
Philadelphia for Bridge Repair

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate 76 in
Montgomery County and Philadelphia and Market Street in Philadelphia for
bridge
repairs.

The weather-dependent work schedule is:

• On Sunday, May 8 through Thursday, May 12, from 8:00 PM to 5 AM, one lane

will be closed on eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 at Interstate 476
in
West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County;
• On Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11, from 8:00 PM to 5 AM, one
lane
will be closed on westbound I-76 between Interstate 676 and Girard Avenue
in
Philadelphia; and
• On Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11, from 8:00 PM to 5 AM, one
lane
will be closed on westbound Market Street between Front Street and Chestnut

Street from 8:00 PM to 5 AM.

These operations are part of PennDOT's program to repair bridge decks and
seal
joints on bridges in the Philadelphia region to help preserve and maintain
the
bridges.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
