Green Lane to Close on East Side of U.S. 13 this Weekend

6/2/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
Green Lane will be reconstructed and closed on the east side of U.S. 13 in
Bristol Township, Bucks County, from 8:30 PM Friday, June 3, to 5:00 PM
Sunday,
June 5, for intersection reconstruction.

During this weekend operation, motorists traveling north on U.S. 13 will be

prohibited from turning right onto Green Lane and southbound U.S. 13
drivers
will not be allowed to turn left onto Green Lane. Motorists traveling west
on
Green Lane will need to follow the posted detour to access U.S. 13.
Drivers
traveling east on Green Lane will have access to northbound and southbound
U.S
13, but will not be allowed to cross the intersection and continue on Green

Lane.

During construction, northbound U.S 13 motorists will be detoured over
Fallsington Road, Main Street, and Radcliffe Street to reach Green Lane.
Southbound U.S. 13 vehicles will follow Bath Street, Mill Street, and
Radcliffe
Street.

Eastbound Green Lane motorists wanting to continue east on Green Lane will
follow U.S 13 north, Fallsington Road, Main Street, and Radcliffe Street.

Westbound Green Lane motorists will be detoured over Radcliffe Street, Main

Street, Fallsington Road, Bristol Pike, Mill Creek Road, and Levittown
Parkway
to U.S. 13

This intersection improvement is part of PennDOT's $36.5 million project to

enhance travel and safety along a 4.3-mile stretch of U.S. 3 (Bristol Pike)

between Route 413 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. PennDOT*s contractor is
rehabilitating the deteriorated pavement; rebuilding bridges; replacing
drainage facilities that date back to the 1940s; building sidewalks for
pedestrians; installing medians; removing jug handles; reducing travel
speeds;
and implementing traffic calming measures.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the
$36,527,577 project that is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The
project is expected to finish in October 2016.
