I-95 Nighttime Lane Closures and Ramp Restrictions Scheduled Next Week in
Philadelphia

Motorists using Interstate 95 in Philadelphia will encounter travel
restrictions at night next week for construction at the Betsy Ross
Bridge/Aramingo Avenue and Cottman Avenue (Route 73) interchanges in
Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• From 8:00 PM Monday, April 10, to 5:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, intermittent

lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 at the
Betsy
Ross Bridge Interchange for overhead ramp construction and installation of
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment. One lane in either or
both
directions will close between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM. A second lane in each
direction may close in each direction between 12:01 AM and 5:00 AM; and

• From 8:00 PM Monday, April 10, to 5:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, the
northbound
off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73) will be reduced to a single lane for
drainage work.

The work at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange is part of a $160.2 million
project to rebuild ramps and improve connections to and from I-95, Aramingo

Avenue and the Betsy Ross Bridge. The ramp work is part of the $212 million

reconstruction and widening at the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) Interchange.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
