NWS Weather Briefing

Attached is the latest weather briefing from the US National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ. Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to move through the region beginning tonight, Wednesday April 5th through tomorrow, Thursday, April 6, 2017. Here are the details:

Chester County Forecasted Conditions:
• Anticipated Timing: Rain beginning this evening continuing into the afternoon hours of Thursday, April 6
• There is a possibility of severe thunderstorms
• Precipitation: 1.5"- 2"of rain
• Active watches & warnings: Flood Watch is in effect from April 6, 8:00AM until April 7, 02:00PM

Impacts:
• Potential flooding along creeks and urban areas with poor drainage

DES Actions:
• We will continue to monitor this event and provide additional information as it becomes available.
• The Watch Officer is available through the 911 Supervisor.
