Burnt House Hill Road to Close Weekdays for Resurfacing Operations in
Buckingham Township, Bucks County
8/16/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Burnt House Hill Road will be closed and detoured between U.S. 202 and Cold
Spring Creamery Road in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, starting
Wednesday,
August 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for milling and paving operations, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The
weekday closure will be in effect through late September.
During construction, Burnt House Hill Road motorists will be detoured over
Cold
Spring Creamery Road, Route 313 (Swamp Road) and U.S. 202. Local access
will be
maintained up to the construction zone. Emergency vehicles and buses will
have
access through the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time
when
traveling through this area. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Burnt House Hill Road is one of three state roads to be resurfaced under
this
project, which covers a total of 12 miles. PennDOT's contractor completed
resurfacing operations on Route 32 (River Road) between Dark Hollow Road
and
Trails End Lane in Tinicum and Bridgeton townships.
Richlandtown Road/Union Road/Main Street between the Tohickon Creek and
Towne
Court Drive in East Rockhill, Haycock and Richland townships, and
Richlandtown
Borough, is scheduled to be resurfaced later this year.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in late October.
