Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Repair and Resurfacing
Operations in Delaware County

8/11/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 18 miles of state

highway in Delaware County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, August 13, through Thursday, August 17, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Lungren Road/ Parkmount Road/Glen Riddle Road

between Lenni Road and Route 352 (New Middletown Road) in Middletown
Township,
for milling;
• Sunday, August 13, through Wednesday, August 16, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,

lane restrictions are scheduled on Providence Road between Route 252
(Palmers
Mill Road) and the Chester County line in Upper Providence and Edgmont
townships, for paving;
• Monday, August 14, through Thursday, August 17, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Knowlton Road between Route 452 (Pennell
Road)
and Route 352 (New Middletown Road) in Aston and Middletown townships, for
base
repair; and
• Tuesday, August 15, through Thursday, August 17, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,

lane restrictions are scheduled on Gradyville Road between Route 352
(Middletown Road) and Crum Creek Bridge in Edgmont Township, for paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

areas because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's
schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract
include:

• Rogers Lane/Plush Mill Road/Wallingford Road between Turner Road and
Baltimore Pike in Nether Providence and Springfield townships;
• Brookhaven Road between Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue) and Route 252
(Providence
Road) in Nether Providence Township, and Rose Valley and Brookhaven
boroughs;
• Orange Street between Baltimore Avenue and Kirk Lane in Media Borough and

Upper Providence Township;
• Sweetwater Road between Creek Road and Valley Road in Thornbury and
Edgmont
townships; and
• Brinton Lake Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Dilworthtown Road
in
Concord and Thornbury townships.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in mid-November.

Allan Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor
on
the $4,098,777 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
