I-95 Lane Closures and Ramp Restrictions Next Week at Cottman Avenue and
Betsy Ross Bridge Interchanges in Philadelphia

Lane closures and ramp restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate
95 at
the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) and Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue
interchanges in Philadelphia for construction activities, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, August 20, through Saturday, August 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
the
ramp from southbound I-95 to Bleigh Avenue at the Cottman Avenue (Route 73)

Interchange will be reduced from two lanes to one for utility installation;
and
• Monday, August 21, and Tuesday, August 22, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, intermittent left and right lane closures are scheduled
on
the ramp from southbound I-95 to the Betsy Ross Bridge and Aramingo Avenue
for
installation of sign structure lighting; and
• Thursday, August 24, and Friday, August 25, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the left lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-95
at
the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange for installation of
permanent
concrete barriers.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 through the
work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of the $212 million project to widen and reconstruct I-95
at
the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) Interchange, and the $160.2 million project
to
rebuild ramps and improve connections at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo
Avenue
Interchange.
