Kumry Road to Close Weekdays for Base Repairs in Milford Township, Bucks
County

Kumry Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 663 (John
Fries
Highway) and Allentown Road in Milford Township, Bucks County, on Monday,
August 21, through Wednesday, August 23, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for base
repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.

During construction, Kumry Road motorists will be detoured over Route 663
(John
Fries Highway) and Allentown Road. Local access will be maintained up to
the
construction zone. Emergency vehicles and buses will have access through
the
work zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.
The
work schedule is dependent on the weather.

This operation is being done in advance of the resurfacing of Kumry Road
between Sleepy Hollow Road and Creamery Road, which is scheduled for
September
as part of a project to repair and resurface 15 miles of state highway in
Bucks
County.

PennDOT's contractor is currently working on Route 563 (Ridge Road) between

County Line Road and Park Avenue in West Rockhill Township and Perkasie
Borough. Crews completed resurfacing operations on Route 412 (Durham Road)
between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 212 in Nockamixon and Springfield

townships.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Hilltown Township, Bucks County, is the

general contractor on the $3,732,792 project, which is financed with 100
percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
