PennDOT - District 6 News: I-95 and U.S. 1 Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Guide Rail Work in Philadelphia, Bucks and Chester Counties

I-95 and U.S. 1 Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Guide Rail Work in Philadelphia, Bucks and Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Travel restrictions are scheduled this week on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia and Bucks counties, and U.S. 1 in Chester County for guide rail replacement and maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Monday, July 30, through Thursday, August 2, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road/Linden Avenue and Route 413/Bristol interchanges in Philadelphia and Bristol Township, Bucks County, for guide rail replacement;
Monday, July 30, through Thursday, August 2, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Route 413/Bristol and Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchanges in Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County, for guide rail replacement; and
Monday, July 30, through Thursday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, temporary lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between the Route 472/Oxford and Route 272/Nottingham interchanges in East Nottingham Township, Chester County, for guide rail maintenance.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
