PennDOT - District 6 News: U.S. 1 in Delaware County Among Several Highways to be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in the Philadelphia Region

U.S. 1 in Delaware County Among Several Highways to be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Travel restrictions are scheduled on several state highways next week, including U.S. 1 in Delaware County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations in the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, July 16, through Friday, July 20, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 263 (Upper York Road) between Aquetong Road and Phillips Mills Road in Solebury Township, Bucks County;
• Monday, July 16, through Friday, July 20, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 162 (Embreeville Road) between Stargazer Road and Brandywine Creek Road in Newlin Township, Chester County;
• Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19, a single lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 between Ridley Creek Road and Orange Street in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County; and
• Thursday, July 19 and Friday, July 20, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 32 (River Road) at Headquarters Road in Tinicum Township, Bucks County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
