Aramingo Avenue Closed Monday, Tuesday at I-95 Girard Interchange for Bridge Demolition in Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA - Northbound and southbound Aramingo Avenue will be closed and detoured at the Interstate 95/Girard Avenue Interchange in Philadelphia on Monday, November 19, and Tuesday, November 20, from 9:00 AM 3:00 PM, for demolition of a section of the southbound I-95 viaduct, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.
During the closures, southbound Aramingo Avenue traffic will be detoured west on Girard Avenue and left on Frankford Avenue to Delaware Avenue. Traffic heading for northbound Aramingo Avenue from Delaware Avenue will be detoured north on Richmond Street and west on Lehigh Avenue to Aramingo Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. All scheduled activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
This work is part of the $312 million project to replace the southbound I-95 viaduct between Palmer Street in Fishtown and Ann Street in Port Richmond as part of the reconstruction of 1.5 miles of southbound I-95 between the Girard Avenue and Allegheny Avenue interchanges.
