I-95 Lane Closures at Night Next Week for Bridge Repair and Resurfacing in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Interstate 95 motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions between Richmond Street and Levick Street in Philadelphia on Monday, December 3, through Saturday, December 8, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for bridge repair and pavement marking installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

This project is part of the governor's Resurface PA initiative, an aggressive campaign launched by PennDOT to accelerate repaving interstates and attacking potholes across the state's 40,000 miles of PennDOT-maintained roads, the nation's fifth largest such system.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 860 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
