PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Montgomery and Bucks Counties

PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Montgomery and Bucks Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures with flagging on several state highways in Montgomery and Bucks counties, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for gas line installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations are:
  • Monday, November 19, through Monday, November 26, Stenton Avenue between Penllyn Blue Bell Pike and Granary Road in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, East High Street between East Court and Shelly Lane in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, Route 663 (North Charlotte Street) between Jefferson Avenue and Oak Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, Trooper Road between West Germantown Pike and Cirak Avenue in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, School Road between Cross Lane and Boehms Church Road in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, Route 73 (Big Road) between Gerloff Road and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Lower Frederick Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, Almshouse Road between Sunrise Way and Sand Trap Road in Warwick Township, Bucks County;
  • Monday, December 3, through Friday, December 7, Route 263 (North York Road) between Summit Avenue and Home Road in Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County; and
  • Monday, December 3, through Friday, December 7, School Road between Morris Road and Pheasant Meadow Road in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
