Hill Church Road Culvert Closed Indefinitely in East Vincent Township, Chester County
King of Prussia, PA – The culvert carrying Hill Church Road over a Tributary to Stony Run Creek in East Vincent Township, Chester County, is closed indefinitely due to serious deterioration of the corrugated metal pipes that support the roadway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Hill Church Road is closed at Stony Run Road until PennDOT can examine the damage and develop a plan to repair the structure.
During the closure, Hill Church Road motorists will be detoured over Stony Run Road and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road). Local access will be maintained up to the culvert closure.
The two-span, corrugated metal pipe arch culvert was originally built in 1970. It is 12 feet long, and carries an average of 507 vehicles a day.
