U.S. 322 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming in the Philadelphia Region

​King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 322 is among several state highways that will be restricted next week in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:
  • Monday, January 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on the eastbound Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) ramp to Franklin Mills Boulevard/Millbrook Road, in Philadelphia; 
  • Monday, January 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Mansion Road and Fairview Road, in East Nantmeal Township, Chester County;
  • Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures with flagging are scheduled on Route 32 (River Road) at Michael Road in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County;
  • Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Ridge Pike and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Collegeville Borough and Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County;
  • Tuesday, January 15, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on westbound Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) on ramp at the Thornton Road interchange in Philadelphia; and
  • Tuesday, January 15, through Friday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 322 between Pottstown Pike and Phoenixville Pike in West Goshen Township, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. These operations are weather dependent.
