I-95 Overnight Lane Closures Next Week for Construction in Bucks County

King of Prussia, PA – Interstate 95 motorists in Bucks County will encounter single lane closures in both directions between the Academy Road and Route 413 interchanges on Monday, February 4, through Friday, February 8, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for subbase installation on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.

James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $29,633,134 project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
