PennDOT - District 6 News: U.S. 1 South (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) and Matsonford Road Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections

U.S. 1 South (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) and Matsonford Road Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) in Philadelphia and Matsonford Road in Montgomery County next week, for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, January 22, through Monday, January 28, lane closures are scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) between the Fox Street and Interstate 76 interchanges in Philadelphia from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday; and
  • Wednesday, January 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Matsonford Road between the on-ramp to Interstate-476 and Hillside Road in Upper Merion Township and West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
