I-76, Evergreen Road Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 76 in Philadelphia and Evergreen Road in Montgomery County for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Evergreen Road between Rupert Road and Ridge Pike in Limerick Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Wednesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-76 between the Girard Avenue and Interstate 676 interchanges in Philadelphia.
    Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
