SEPTA to Close Eastbound West Chester Pike (Route 3), Burmont Road for Track Replacement in Upper Darby Township

King of Prussia, PA – SEPTA is planning weekend closures of eastbound West Chester Pike (Route 3) and Burmont Road in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County for track crossing replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• From 8:00 PM Friday, August 9, to 5:00 PM Sunday, August 11, eastbound West Chester Pike (Route 3) will be closed between Terminal Square/Bywood Avenue and Garrett Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Terminal Square/Bywood Avenue, Fairfield Avenue and Garrett Road; and 
  
• From 8:00 PM Friday, August 16, to 5:00 PM Monday, August 19, Burmont Road will be closed between Mill Street and Jones Street. During construction, motorists will be directed to use Garrett Road, Edmonds Avenue and Marshall Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur
