Excessive Heat Warning in effect from 12:00 PM, Thursday, July 14 until 8:00 PM, Friday, July 15. Drink plenty of fluids. Check on relatives and neighbors.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued an excessive heat warning... which is in effect from noon Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday. The excessive heat watch is no longer in effect.
* Temperatures... maximum readings in the lower and middle 90s on Thursday and Friday. Lows on Thursday night in the middle and upper 70s with some high urbanized locations possibly not falling below 80 degrees.
* Heat index values... maximum heat index values on Thursday will be 100 to 104. On Friday... maximum heat index values will be near 100 degrees.
* Impacts... the excessive heat will create hazardous conditions. The potential for heat related health issues will be high... especially for the elderly and for those in poor health.
