ravel Restrictions in Philadelphia and Bucks County for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia and Bucks County for
bridge
inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Tuesday, July 26, through Thursday, July 28, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM,

traffic will be shifted on Clarissa Street between Wayne Avenue and Newcomb

Street in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, July 26, through Thursday, July 28, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM,

traffic will be shifted on Wayne Avenue between Roberts Avenue and Newcomb

Street in Philadelphia;
• On Wednesday, July 27, through Friday, July 29, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM,
traffic will be shifted on Roberts Road between Pulaski Avenue and
Wissahickon
Avenue in Philadelphia;
• On Friday, July 29, the right lane will be closed on Old Lincoln Highway
south between Woolston Drive and Tyburn Road in Falls Township, Bucks
County;
• On Saturday, August 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed
on
Interstate 95 north between Bartram Avenue and Island Avenue in
Philadelphia;
and
• On Sunday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on
I-95
south between Island Avenue and Bartram Avenue in Philadelphia.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
