Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for Sign
Installations in Philadelphia and Bucks County

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in the
Philadelphia and Bucks County, for installation of new electronic signs and

structures, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 19, and Tuesday, June 20, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on northbound Interstate 95 between
Street
Road (Route 132) and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) in Philadelphia and Bucks
County;

• Monday, June 19, and Tuesday, June 20, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between
Southampton Road and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) in Philadelphia;

• Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one
lane
will be closed on northbound and southbound U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) at the
Woodhaven Road (Route 63) Interchange in Bucks County;

• Tuesday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and
from
9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, one lane will be closed on
northbound
and southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Street Road (Route 132)
and
Old Lincoln Highway in Bucks County;

• Wednesday, June 21, and Thursday, June 22, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, one lane will be closed on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt
Boulevard) between 9th Street and Broad Street (Route 611) in Philadelphia;

• Thursday, June 22, and Friday, June 23, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will be closed on northbound I-95 between Bridge Street
and
Cottman Avenue (Route 73) in Philadelphia; and

• Thursday, June 22, and Friday, June 23, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, two lanes will close on westbound Interstate 76 between the
Passyunk
Avenue and University Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of PennDOT's initiative to update Intelligent
Transportation
Systems' (ITS) equipment on regional highways.
