PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in
Montgomery and Chester Counties

PECO Energy is planning travel restrictions on several state highways in
Montgomery and Chester counties, for gas main improvements, the
Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• Monday, June 26, and Tuesday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Walnut Street between Beaver
Street
and 7th Street in North Wales Borough, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, June 27, and Wednesday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on High Street between Baily
Street
and Madison Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County;
• Thursday, June 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Edge Hill Road between Rush Road and Guernsey Avenue in
Abington Township, Montgomery County;
• Thursday, June 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Route 363 (Park Avenue) between Ridge Pike and Foster
Avenue
in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County; and
• Thursday, July 6, through mid-September, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Howellville
Road is scheduled to close weekdays between Conestoga Road and U.S 30
(Lancaster Avenue) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County. During the
weekday
closure, Howellville Road motorists will be directed to use Conestoga Road,
Old
Lancaster Avenue and U.S 30 (Lancaster Avenue).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

areas.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.
