Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on U.S. 422, Interstate 95 and
Interstate 76 for Bridge Inspections in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on U.S. 422, Interstate 76,
Interstate 95 and North Gulph Road for bridge inspections in the
Philadelphia
region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, right lane restrictions are
scheduled in both directions on North Gulph Road between Guthrie Road and
1st
Avenue in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County;
• Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the

right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route
363
(Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) interchanges in Upper
Merion
Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, June 13, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled to

close on southbound I-95 between the Bridge Street/Harbison Avenue and
Allegheny Avenue/Castor Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 between Interstate 676 and the Girard Avenue
interchange in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, June 14, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound I-76 between the Girard Avenue and 30th Street/Market
Street
interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, June 15, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 between Interstate 676 and the Girard Avenue
interchange in Philadelphia; and
• Thursday, June 15, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound I-76 between the Girard Avenue and 30th Street/Market
Street
interchanges in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. The schedules are dependent on the weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
