Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Daytime and nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on
several
state highways in Chester, Bucks, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties for
maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT)
announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Wednesday, July 5, through Wednesday, July 12, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM,
Brandywine Creek Road is scheduled to close weekdays between Harveys Bridge

Road and Route 162 (Embreeville Road) in Newlin Township, Chester County,
for
drilling work. During construction, Brandywine Creek Road motorists will be

detoured over Strasburg Road and Route 162 (Embreeville Road);
• Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM,
State
Road/Station Avenue is scheduled to close weekdays between Richlandtown
Pike
and Route 309 in Richland Township, Bucks County, for base repair. During
construction, State Road/Station Avenue motorists will be detoured over
Route
309 and Cherry Road;
• Wednesday, July 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Mill Road is scheduled to
close
between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 263 (York Road) in Upper Moreland

Township and Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County, for base repair. During
construction, Mill Road motorists will be detoured over Route 263 (York
Road),
Route 463 (Horsham Road) and Blair Mill Road;
• Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Game
Farm
Road is scheduled to close between Route 29/Route 73 (Main Street/Gravel
Pike)
and Neiffer Road in Lower Frederick Township, Montgomery County, for pipe
replacement. During construction, Game Farm Road motorists will be detoured

over Route 29/Route 73 (Main Street/Gravel Pike) and Neiffer Road;
• Thursday, July 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, right lane closures are
scheduled
on westbound Interstate 76 between the Vare Avenue and University Avenue
interchanges in Philadelphia for base repair; and
• Thursday, July 6, and Friday, July 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM,
Fitzwatertown
Road will be closed between Susquehanna Road and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike)
in
Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, for base repair. During
construction,
Fitzwatertown Road motorists will be detoured over Susquehanna Road and
Route
152 (Limekiln Pike).

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because
slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities are
weather
dependent.
