Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for High-Friction
Resurfacing in Delaware and Bucks Counties

Motorists will encounter travel restrictions on several state highways in
Delaware and Bucks counties for high friction resurfacing operations, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Lenni Road between Lungren Road and New Road
in
Aston Township, Delaware County;
• Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Goshen Road between Crum Creek Lane and Echo
Valley Lane in Newtown Township, Delaware County;
• Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Almshouse Road between Birdie Lane and
Pennsbury
Drive in Warwick Township, Bucks County; and
• Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Newportville Road between Zimmerman Lane and
New
Falls Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $4.8 million resurfacing project to improve travel
and
safety on 25 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and
Philadelphia counties, by installing a high-friction surface treatment to
provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.

J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on
the
project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state
funds.
