(Chester Co./Montgomery Co.) NOV 14 FEMA Emergency Exercise for Limerick Nuclear Generating Station @FEMAregion3 @Epaarrl @MercuryX

This is only a DRILL

A large scale emergency management exercise will be held tonight sometime in the late afternoon or early evening of November 14th, 2017. Residents within a ten mile radius of the Limerick Nuclear Generating Station may hear the sirens associated with the plants warning system.

The exercise will be conducted over the radio and will involve local fire and police departments. Local amateur radio operators (also known as HAMs) will provide additional radio support through national-level organizations like the Amateur Radio Emergency Services and FEMA's Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services

Residents can monitor fire department and police department radio traffic in Montgomery County and Chester County by using the "Broadcastify" website or Android application.
