U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) Daytime Lane Restrictions Next Week for Speed
Board and Sign Installations in Delaware County

11/30/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) between
State
Road and Harding Road on Monday, December 4, and Tuesday, December 5, from
9:00
AM to 3:00 PM for speed detection board and sign installations, marking
final
work on a project to improve travel and safety on a 3.4-mile section of
U.S. 1
(Township Line Road) in Upper Darby and Haverford townships, Delaware
County,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT reconfigured the four-lane section
of
U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) to a five-lane section that includes a center
turn
lane along the corridor; resurfaced the highway from State Road to Harding
Drive, narrowed lane widths, installed speed limit legends at various
locations
to help reduce speeds; performed tree and bush trimming operations along
the
south side of U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) between Blythe Avenue and
Belfield
Avenue; and installed High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) on the
northbound
right lane of U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) between State Road and Arrowhead
Lane
to improve safety.

Allan A. Myers, Inc. of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general
contractor
on the $1,077,555 project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
