Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Tree Removal
Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Daytime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
for tree removal operations in the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, December 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Route 113 (Kimberton Road) between Township Line Road and
Ross
Lane in East Pikeland and Schuylkill townships, Chester County;
• Monday, December 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on northbound Interstate 476 between Media/Swarthmore and the
U.S. 1
interchanges in Springfield Township, Delaware County;
• Monday, December 4, and Tuesday, December 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Wismer Road at Stump Road in
Plumstead Township, Bucks County;
• Monday, December 4, through Thursday, December 7, from 7:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent left lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 30 Bypass in both
directions between the Route 340 (Bondsville Road) Interchange and Route 10

(Octorara Trail) in Caln, Wallace and Sadsbury townships, Chester County;
• Tuesday, December 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) from Scholl Road to just east
of
Unionville Road in North Coventry Township, Chester County;
• Tuesday, December 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Route 352
(Middletown
Road) and Route 252 (Providence Road) interchanges in Middletown Township,
Delaware County;
• Tuesday, December 5, through Thursday, December 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
center and left lane closures are scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt

Boulevard) between Ryan Avenue and Faunce Street in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, December 6, and Thursday, December 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
a
right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-476 between U.S. 30
(Lancaster
Avenue) and the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) Interchange in Haverford
Township,
Delaware County; and
• Wednesday, December 6, through Friday, December 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on State Road between
Richlandtown Pike and Route 212 (Quakertown Road) in Springfield Township,
Bucks County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
