PennDOT to Host Open House Meeting for Henry Avenue Safety Improvement
Project in Philadelphia

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open
house
project update meeting on Wednesday, November 29, at 7:00 PM in Downs
Auditorium at Jefferson University – East Falls Campus at 4201 Henry Avenue
in
Philadelphia for the upcoming Henry Avenue Safety Improvement Project.

The project involves upgrading intersections and installing safety
enhancements
on a 1.4-mile section of Henry Avenue in the East Falls section of the
City.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the public with progress plans and

status update on the improvement project. The meeting will be conducted as
an
open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to
circulate
among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different
facets of the project with PennDOT's design team.

Construction bids on this project are expected to be opened in winter 2020.
