I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) Lane Restrictions Scheduled Weekdays in Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – Weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76 in both directions at the Girard Avenue and Montgomery Drive interchanges in Philadelphia on Monday, October 26, through Friday, November 16, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree clearing operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during this safety enhancement project. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These operations are part of a vegetation management project that includes the clearing, clean-up and stabilization of an 18-acre area along a five-mile section of I-76 between the U.S. 1 and 30th Street/Market Street interchanges in Philadelphia.
J.D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on the $1,770,861 project which is financed with 100 percent state funds. The project is expected to finish in summer 2019.
