PennDOT - District 6 News: I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled for Bridge Inspection in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties

I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled for Bridge Inspection in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 and Route 291 (Industrial Boulevard) in Philadelphia and Delaware counties for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, October 22, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Interstate 676 and Girard Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Monday, October 22, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the I-76 and Columbus Boulevard interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Thursday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Route 420 interchanges in Philadelphia; and
  • Thursday, October 25, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Cargo City and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) interchanges in Tinicum Township, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
