U.S. 30, U.S. 202 Nighttime Lane Restrictions Next Week for Sign Maintenance in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA –  Motorists using U.S. 30/Exton Bypass and U.S. 202 in Chester County will encounter lane restrictions at night next for maintenance on electronic message signs in East Whiteland, West Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

The work schedule is:

• Monday, October 22, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass will be reduced from two lanes-to-one between the U.S. Business 30 and Route 100 interchanges in West Whiteland Township;
  
• Tuesday, October 23, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from three lanes-to-two between the Route 401 and Route 29 interchanges in East Whiteland Township; 
  
• Wednesday, October 24, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from three lanes-to-two between the Route 29 and Route 252 interchanges in Tredyffrin Township; and 
  
• Thursday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from three lanes-to-two between the Route 252 and Chesterbrook Boulevard interchanges in Tredyffrin Township.
  

All scheduled activities are weather dependent. If rain causes cancellation of any operation, the scheduled activities will be completed the following night and subsequent scheduled activities will be push back one night.

The sign maintenance is being done as part of PennDOT's $26.4 million project to rehabilitate and redeck the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak at the U.S. 30 Interchange and repave the ramps to and from the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass and U.S. 202.

Allan A Myers, Inc. of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
