PennDOT to Host Open House Meeting for U.S. 1 South (Roosevelt Boulevard) Ramp Replacement Project in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house public plans display on Thursday, December 12, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lenfest Center at 3890 North 10th Street in Philadelphia to inform citizens about an upcoming project to replace the southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) exit ramp to U.S. 13 (Hunting Park Avenue) which carries two lanes of traffic over U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) at Old York Road in the Hunting Park section of the City.

The purpose of the open house is to present the public with progress plans and a status update on the project. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT's design team.

Under this project, PennDOT will replace the existing ramp structure carrying southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) over the expressway; perform adjustments to the roadway approach and improve pedestrian access.

Construction bids on the project are expected to open in February 2021. The project is anticipated to be funded with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state dollars.
