PennDOT to Repair and Resurface 10 State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule and locations are:
Delaware County
• Sunday, November 17, through Tuesday, November 19, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Eagle Road between Township Line Road and Earlington Road in Haverford Township for high friction treatment;
• Sunday, November 17, through Saturday, November 23, from 9:00 AM to 3 :00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Radnor Chester Road in Radnor Township for milling and paving operations; and
• Wednesday, November 20, and Thursday, November 21, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Brintons Bridge Road/Dilworthtown Road between Birmingham Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township for paving operations.
Montgomery County
• Sunday, November 17, through Saturday, November 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Marlborough Township for milling and paving operations;
• Monday, November 18, from 9:00 Am to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Collegeville Road between Creamery Road and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Skippack Township for paving operations;
• Tuesday, November 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Plank Road and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Perkiomen Township for paving operations;
• Wednesday, November 20, from 9:00 AM to 3 :00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Old Forge Way and Berks Road in Worcester Township for milling operations;
• Wednesday, November 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Arch Road between New Hope Street and Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township for paving operations; and
• Thursday, November 21, and Friday, November 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Croton Road between Gulph Road and Radnor Road in Upper Merion Township for milling operations.
Philadelphia
• Tuesday, November 19, through Thursday, November 21, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Walnut Street between 15th Street and 16th Street for manhole repairs.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these improvement projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
