PennDOT to Repair and Resurface More Than 12 State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule and locations are:

Bucks County

• Tuesday, November 5, through Friday, November 22, weekdays, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, road closure is scheduled on Durham Road between Route 212 and County Line Road in Durham Township for milling and paving operations. During the closure, Durham Road motorists will be directed to use Route 212, Route 611 (Easton Road), and Coffeetown Road.

Delaware County

• Sunday, November 3, through Friday, November 8, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Eagle Road between Township Line Road and Earlington Road in Haverford Township for milling operations and manhole adjustments;
• Monday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 5, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Brintons Bridge Road/Dilworthtown Road between Birmingham Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township for milling operations; and
• Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday November 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Dilworthtown Road between Westtown Thornton Road and Chester County Line in Thornbury Township for milling operations and base repair.

Montgomery County

• Sunday, November 3, through Tuesday, November 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Main Street between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Forrest Avenue in West Norriton Township for milling operations;
• Sunday, November 3, through Friday, November 8, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Trooper Road between Shannondell Boulevard and Rogers Road in West Norriton and Lower Providence townships for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, November 3, through Friday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Marlborough Township for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, November 3, through Friday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Limerick Road between Ridge Pike and Township Line Road in Limerick Township for milling and paving operations;
• Monday, November 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane restriction is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Plank Road in Perkiomen Township for a milling operation;
• Tuesday, November 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane restriction is scheduled on Collegeville Road between Creamery Road and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Skippack Township for a milling operation;
• Friday, November 8, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane restriction is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Plank Road in Perkiomen Township for a paving operation; and
• Saturday, November 9, from 9:00 Am to 3:00 PM, a lane restriction is scheduled on Arch Road between Renel Road and Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township for a paving operation.

Philadelphia County

• Monday, November 4, through Friday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled at the Bustleton Avenue and Red Lion Road intersection for milling and paving operations.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these improvement projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
