Wolf Administration Announces Completion of Manoa Road Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Haverford Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Wolf Administration announced today the opening of Manoa Road Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Haverford Township, Delaware County, following the completion of a bridge replacement project.

"Today we complete another bridge project that helps maintain our vast transportation network," Governor Tom Wolf said. "The new structure will improve safety and serve the area well into the future."

PennDOT's contractor replaced the existing structure, originally built in 1929, with a single span, pre-stressed, concrete bulb-tee bridge and performed other miscellaneous construction, including guide rail repair and drainage system improvements. The new structure will be 41 feet wide, 34 feet long, and include nine-foot shoulders.

Clearwater Construction, Inc, of Mercer, PA, is the general contractor on this $2,282,490 bridge replacement project that is financed with 100 percent state funds.
