Wind Advisory

This is a message from ReadyPhiladelphia.


Wind Advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon until midnight EST Sunday night (12AM Monday 11/21). Gusts up to 50 mph are possible.  Exercise caution.


The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind
Advisory. It is in effect from 400 PM this afternoon until
midnight on Sunday night.

* Winds... west northwest at 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50
mph.

* Timing... there are two periods when the maximum wind gusts are
most likely... this evening with and following the passage of a
strong cold front... and Sunday during the daylight hours.

* Impacts... the strong wind gusts may bring down tree limbs and
utility lines. Scattered power outages are possible. The strong
winds may make driving difficult... especially for those
operating a large vehicle.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.
The strong winds may make driving difficult... especially for those
operating a high profile vehicle. Use extra caution. Light-weight
outdoor objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be
secured.
