Travel Restrictions on I-95 in Philadelphia and Delaware County for Bridge
Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia and
Delaware
County for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) today announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Tuesday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to
3:00
PM, the right lane will be closed on I-95 south between Route 291 (Penrose
Avenue) and Route 420 (Wanamaker Avenue) in Tinicum Township;
• On Tuesday, November 15, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the right lane will be

closed on I-95 north between the Philadelphia International Airport and
Route
291 (Island Avenue) in Philadelphia;
• On Wednesday, November 16, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the right lane will
be
closed on the Route 291 (Bartram Avenue) ramp to I-95 south in
Philadelphia.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
