I-95 Night Travel Restrictions at Girard Avenue, Cottman Avenue and Betsy
Ross Bridge Interchanges

A series of nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled through next week
on
Interstate 95 for construction at the Girard Avenue, Cottman Avenue (Route
73)
and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

Lane closures will be in place on I-95 south between the Girard Avenue and
Interstate 676 interchanges tonight, November 10, and Friday, November 11,
from
9:00 PM to 5:00 AM for pavement repairs. Next week, the operation will move
to
the northbound side of I-95, where crews will patch deteriorated pavement
from
I-676 to the Allegheny Avenue Interchange on Monday, November 14, to
Friday,
November 18, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

In addition, next week's work schedule is:

•On Sunday, November 13, through Friday November 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM
the following morning, the I-95 north off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73)

will be closed periodically for ramp widening activities. Motorists will be

detoured north on I-95 to the exit at the Academy Road Interchange, then
right
on Linden Avenue, and right on State Road to Cottman Avenue (Route 73);

•On Sunday, November 13, through Friday November 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM
the following morning, the Princeton Avenue on-ramp to I-95 north will be
closed periodically for ramp and roadway construction. Motorists will be
detoured north on State Road, then left on Linden Avenue and right on the
ramp
to I-95 north at the Academy Road Interchange. Drivers also may access I-95

north by going north on State Road, then right on Bleigh Avenue and right
on
Milnor Street to the spur ramp to I-95 north;

•On Sunday, November 13, through Friday November 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM
the following morning, I-95 south will be reduced periodically from three
lanes
to two at the Cottman Avenue Interchange (Route 73) for the removal of
overhead
sign structures; and

•On Monday, November 14, through Friday November 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM
the following morning, intermittent lane closures and stoppages of up to 15

minutes will occur on the eastbound and westbound connections between I-95
and
the Betsy Ross Bridge (NJ Route 90) interchanges for removal and
replacement of
overhead sign structures.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work zones.
All
scheduled activities are weather dependent.
